Five Things: April 24th 2021

Hello everyone! It feels like long time no talk, which it kind of has been. Unfortunately I got unexpectedly busy this week as I was ill, and studying for my exam Thursday took more brainpower than expected. Nevertheless, I am back and ready to begin writing the posts again. It’s a shame too because I was quite excited for the posts this week, but I’ll just push them back to next week (hint: it’s ~Taylor week~ baby)!

Five Things: April 10th 2021

Happy April 10th, everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather and feeling the promise of spring. Hopefully it’ll be a better spring than last year, leading to a better summer than last year as well.

It’s almost been two months since I’ve had this blog, which is just so fun. This blog brings me a lot of joy, because it’s a place where I can write my semi-structured thoughts. Without further ado, please enjoy the recap of my week!

Five Things: April 5th, 2021

Well, hello friends. It has been a while.

In the craziness that is midterm period, I neglected my blog for a while 🙁 But fear not, I am back, and I feel ready to write my little fingers away after my break! While I was gone, I thought of some topics I wanted to write about, as well as my ‘vision’ for this blog, and as a result I am very excited to continue posting on this blog.

Originally I was going to write about the past two weeks but I honestly don’t remember what happened because my memory is that bad, so it’ll be five things for the past two weeks. Hey, it can’t have been that important if I don’t remember it two weeks later.

Five Things: March 20th 2021

It felt like an incredibly short week, perhaps because of Daylight Savings Time beginning and perhaps because it was March Break and time off always goes too fast, but here we are on another Saturday, talking about my week. All in all it was a fairly good one, and now it’s the first day of spring! Spring and its symbolism are really my favourites, so I’m feeling very happy.

(Side note: it’s not a very cheerful post. I think I’m struggling a little right now. Sorry for the bad vibes, but I’m just being honest.)

Five Things: March 13th 2021

Hello everyone and happy March Break! For… just my class, maybe? Since March Break was pushed back to April for high school students, and Reading Week for uni students was in February. I’m trying to work out if it’s a good thing I have time off when others don’t or not. On one hand, can’t hang out with my friends. On the other, can’t hang out with my friends anyway…

Happy 20 Years ♡

Gretchen Rubin has a fantastic quote: “The days are long, but the years are short.” Somehow I blinked and now I am in my twenties. I imagine the next ten years will pass similarly, slow but also at breakneck speed, and I’ll be a thirty-something, the same age as my parents when they immigrated. Will I have the same courage as them, I wonder, to seek a better life?

I don’t have the answer. All I know is this: it’s been a good 20 years, Canada. Here’s to many more to come.

Five Things: February 27th 2021

Hello everyone! I think I’m slowly getting into the swing of things with running this blog, and with that comes a great amount of joy. Sitting down to write this post felt extremely comfortable, like we’re just having a little chat about life over a cup of tea or something.

It’s been an interesting week of ups and downs… but at least it wasn’t boring, I suppose. Keeps you on your toes.
